Stephanie and Weber

A Luxury Destination Wedding at Royalton Antigua

Antigua and Barbuda is more than a beautiful location for a destination wedding. It is an experience filled with breathtaking scenery, warm Caribbean hospitality and unforgettable moments.

For Stephanie and Weber Compere, who travelled from New York to celebrate their wedding at Royalton Antigua, the island became an important part of their love story.

With more than 150 family members and friends travelling to Antigua to witness their union, their celebration brought together love, culture, personality and the vibrant energy of New York in one unforgettable destination wedding experience.

From Their Antigua Engagement Session to

Their Wedding Day

Stephanie and Weber’s journey with BeeYou Media began several months before their wedding.

In March, they travelled to Antigua for their engagement and couple photography session. This gave us the opportunity to connect, understand their personalities and help them feel comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.

I see an engagement / pre-photoshoot session as more than a practice shoot. It helps establish trust between the couple and their wedding photographer while creating space for them to become familiar with being photographed together.

By the time the wedding day arrived, Stephanie and Weber already knew what to expect. They could relax, remain present and enjoy the experience while trusting me to document their story naturally.

That sense of comfort carried beautifully into their Royalton Antigua wedding photography.

A Destination Wedding Filled With Love and Culture

Stephanie and Weber’s wedding was more than a one-day celebration.

More than 150 of their family members and friends travelled to Antigua, transforming the occasion into a full week of love, connection, culture and shared memories.

Destination weddings create a unique opportunity for couples to spend meaningful time with the people they love. Guests are not simply attending a ceremony. They are travelling together, exploring the island, reconnecting with family and becoming part of an experience that extends far beyond the wedding day.

When the celebrations are over and everyone returns home, the photographs become the lasting record of that experience.

They preserve the people who were present, the emotions that filled the day and the details that may have passed too quickly to fully appreciate in the moment.

New York Energy Meets a Caribbean Celebration

One of the most memorable parts of Stephanie and Weber’s wedding was the way they brought their New York energy and Caribbean culture into the celebration.

Their reception entrance wearing New York Knicks hats was fun, personal and completely true to who they are. It connected their life in New York with their destination wedding in Antigua, creating a beautiful mix of culture, personality and excitement.

These are the moments that make every wedding unique.

The carefully planned details are important, but the personal touches often become some of the most memorable parts of the day. They allow a couple’s story, background and personality to come through in a way that feels genuine.

For Stephanie and Weber, their wedding was elegant and meaningful while still being joyful, energetic and deeply personal.

Photographing the Moments That Become a Legacy

As an Antigua wedding photographer, the responsibility of documenting a wedding day is never lost on me.

I have the privilege of witnessing the quiet moments, the anticipation, the nerves, the laughter, the tears and the once-in-a-lifetime emotions that unfold throughout the celebration.

Some moments are planned, while others happen in a matter of seconds.

A glance between the couple, a parent holding back tears, the excitement of friends entering the reception or the feeling in the room during an emotional speech can become one of the most meaningful images in the final wedding gallery.

My approach is to create beautiful, polished imagery while also giving couples the freedom to remain present. I want the photographs to feel elevated and intentional, but still honest to the people, relationships and emotions that made the day special.

These images will eventually become part of a couple’s legacy. They will be shared with family members, displayed in their home and revisited for generations.

That is what makes this work so meaningful.

Why Choose Antigua for Your Destination Wedding?

Antigua is an ideal destination for couples who want their wedding to feel luxurious, relaxed and naturally beautiful.

The island offers scenic beaches, turquoise water, tropical gardens, historic architecture and stunning resort properties such as Royalton Antigua. Couples can create an experience that feels intimate and romantic or host a larger celebration surrounded by family and friends.

Antigua also has a strong community of local wedding creatives and vendors. Many of us work across connected industries and have experience collaborating with one another. This helps create a smoother, more professional and more enjoyable experience for couples planning their weddings from overseas.

Working with an Antigua-based wedding photographer also means choosing someone who understands the island’s lighting, locations, weather and overall pace.

That local knowledge can make a meaningful difference when planning the photography timeline and creating images that truly reflect the beauty of an Antigua destination wedding.
